Let's Start!

Funny how many people use this blog as a way of "catching up" with me. It's almost one sided communication unless people leave comments or something on the chatbox, but otherwise, it's almost like I'm giving away the fact that I'm still alive and doing things, but I don't know if my friends (people who read this) are or not. Anyway! I'm not sure how long this string of scheduled posts will last, but I expect someone will owe me certain Japanese trip videos for doing this, hope to get a chance to see them soon *shifty eyes*

Love my coffee from TomnTom's, but this entry is actually going to be about how beautiful Sydney is. I don't think I truly appreciate Sydney for its beauty for a while now, since it's been over a decade since we moved here, everything kind of wanes a bit with time.

Started the lovely day by having sushi from Kura II, a small corner restaurant just behind Market City. I remember it used to be a lot better with its sushi, standard seemed to have dropped.

But I remember visiting KuraII with my siblings, even back when my sister was living here. We'd queue up outside the small shop which could hold max 12 people inside, and have hot ramen during winter.

They don't seem as popular now... which is quite sad, but I'd revisit it for the sentimentality of it.

I wouldn't say their sushi is bad, but I've had better (of course, not talking about Tsukiji fish markets, but more like at Wagaya even... and they're not even known for their sushi).

I realise I haven't used tilt shift on Stanley nearly as often as I had planned when I initially bought him. Future posts will consist of lots of photos with that effect :D

It was such a good day, all sunny and dry and lots of colours. Hyde Park never looked so vibrant and alive, there was even a saxophone player serenading the side walkers. If there's anything that can set a mood, it's music *rants on for hours about music*

Day ended with chocolate, fruits and waffles at Guylian Cafe...

... and a preview of Vivid Sydney! Piranha!
